Hi from down under! I am so excited about the launch of my new (and hopefully) improved website. I am hoping this new look will also improve my blogging frequency, but we will leave that up to time to tell. Australia has been such a dream. I have met so many inspiring and encouraging people who have been more than a blessing in this new chapter. I can't even begin to explain how much my life has changed since arriving in Sydney. First, I have learned that regular exposure to the sun really does affect your outlook on life. What a surprise (Montreal, I love you but please ease up on the snow, people might like you more). I have also been learning about the power of community and surrounding yourself with people who build you up and challenge you in every part of your life. The community I am a part of here in Sydney is overwhelmingly positive and encouraging and through this I am beginning to see the world with new eyes. I am learning to see beauty in everything. I am learning to see beauty in the struggle and beauty in dark; beauty in the new and beauty in the old. As a person who sees the world through a viewfinder, this has changed how I take photos and ultimately how I see people.
All that to be said, here are some photos from a galavant around Newtown with some friends. Did I mention my friends are also really cool (that goes out to all my friends on every continent!)?? And that wall, the "i have a dream" one...you might recognize it...and if not, click here.
